Swimming Lessons

Justin and Evan have been bonding at the pool during Evan's swimming lessons. Evan gets so excited before they get into the water that he starts squealing with glee.

Unfortunately we had to miss last week because we all three had colds.

Justin is trying to blame me for his mistake! Anyhow, the video is really so you can hear Evan's official first word (other than 'mom' and 'dada' of course). Guess what he is saying...there is a big hint in the video.

The countdown is on! In less than a month Evan will have his first birthday! How did this happen...where did the time go? Boo Hoo and Yay all at the same time. I can hardly believe it....yet I am so happy he is mobile and can entertain himself!

Sledding

We took Evan into the South Hills this weekend to go sledding. As you can see when we got there we found that the snow had already melted.So we took a little hike instead and let the dogs expend some energy. We still have a huge pile of snow in the backyard so we decided to try out the sled there when we got home from our hike. Evan LOVED it.Justin pulled us around the backyard in circles.On Sunday we went hiking on Third Fork trail in the South Hills with Regan and Ed. There was lots of snow up there. Evan was able to try out his sled on the trail and even took a ride downhill with his dad.

HUGE Snowstorm!!

Last week a big storm came through the Magic Valley and we ended up with about 6" of snow.

It was gorgeous outside! When Justin came home from work he shoveled the snow out of the driveway.

First 2008 Photos

Hello Everyone & Happy New Year to you all! Evan became sick on Christmas day and stayed sick for about a week, so we did not get a lot of photos taken. Thankfully, Evan is back in good health and exploring all aspects of the house. He loves emptying the dishwasher. As soon as the dishwasher opens, Evan beelines for it.

I just hope he is this enthusiastic about it when he is a teenager! He also has an obsession for the vacuum. Here he is helping his dad vaccuum the living room.

More vacuum love.It seems that I cannot escape this vacuum obsession. From anywhere in the house, he will crawl to my lap, reach up to my shoulder and point to where the vacuum is so that I will take him to it.
