We have breakthrough! Evan's two bottom teeth exposed themselves last Wednesday. He was so happy about it, he was smiling all day...Ha Ha Ha!!! This picture was taken before teething began! "I'm havin' a bad day man,"says Evan,"these teeth are killing me!!"

Evan exchanges a love pat with baby Milo.
Taking a ride in the Ergo carrier. Yay! He can finally ride on my back.

First Camping Trip!!

We spent the weekend camping at Bear Lake which is located in the most southeastern corner of the state. It's gorgeous down there, if you haven't been we highly recommend it. In the wee hours of the morning, a bull moose and his mate meandered through our campsite. Unfortunately, Evan was sleeping-in and missed it. We went down to the lake in the evening when the blazing sun was no longer a threat to our fair skin! The water was warm, shallow and surrounded by a sandy beach.
Evan loves kickin' around in the water!

Evan is watching some kids that just appeared on the scene. He seems really intrigued by them. Especially the three-foot tall, bossy, redheaded one that is carrying a stick and demanding to know why we are there and if our dogs are going to hurt him.
The dogs looooovvvveee camping!!

Minnetonka Cave was just four miles up the mountain from our campsite. The cave has 9 rooms and it's a half mile walk to the end of it. Very dark, cold and slimy in there, but they do have lights and handrails!!
Stalagmite meets Stalactite.

Evan tries to drink from the water fountain and then decides it is much more fun to play in it with his fingers!!
Evan investigates plant matter. We all had a great time! Well...I could have done without the second day at the lake where I got over 20 mosquito bites!! Lucky for everyone else, I acted as their mosquito repellent!!!

Evan's Cousin Elizabeth

This is Evan and his cousin Elizabeth. It's a good thing car rides put them to sleep!
Elizabeth is almost four weeks old and cute as can be!

Evan's First Job

Evan is being trained to be Dr. Parto's assistant. He has a smile for every patient.

Working With Dad

Evan and I were able to meet Justin in the South Hills while he was working on a project.
Taking a break. It's hot out here in the desert and no shade anywhere. It's only 9:30 in the morning and temperatures are already above 80.

Indepence Day

Hello All! Hope you had a wonderful holiday! We took Evan to Dierkes Lake for a little swim. It was 103 here yesturday. HOT HOT!!

He liked the water at first, but after we soaked his diaper (unintentionally) he got a little irritated and the fun was over.
On our way downtown, we stopped off at Shoshone Falls on the Snake River. It was gorgeous.
We took Evan to his first outdoor concert. Here he is enjoying the music!! The Clumsy Lovers were playing and we danced non-stop.
First drink from a Nalgene bottle. I'm sure he was thirsty because he kept grabbing for it as I drank, so he got to test it out. As you can tell from the above picture not very much of it got in his mouth.
By the end of the concert he was pretty tuckered out. He loves the BabyBjorn! Thanks for letting us use it Kylie!!

Recent Explorations

Evan is testing the waters at Hyndman Creek in the Pioneer Mountains. He'll tell you it was icy cold, but crystal clear!!

Our future birder in action. I think he spotted a rare unidentified species, but he couldn't tell us where it was.

Johnstone Creek in the Pioneer Mountains.

Justin's second favorite activity with Evan, reading. The first one is watching TV.

Evan's first real solids...toe jam. Yummy those feet are pretty tasty!!

Evan's wondering what that prickly stuff that keeps stabbing him in the face is.

He loves being held up in the air. So far we haven't been spit-up on.

Evan's first swim. We're in the pool at Miracle Hot Springs.

Meeting Uncle Jon

Deep conversations with Uncle Jon. Oh ya, Evan's wondering if you can get him tickets to the Oprah show?

Sling Rides

This sling has become one of Evan's favorite modes of transportation! He loves it and if we're lucky he'll be alseep in no time at all!!
